“2020 Glasses” is a trading name for Readology International Limited, operating at www.2020glasses.co.uk. “We”, “Us” and “Our” refers to 2020 Glasses, and “You” and “Your” refers to the Customer.
1. Customer Obligations
Your safety and well-being are important to us. By submitting your order to 2020 Glasses, you confirm the following:
- You are aged 16 or over. If you are under 16, glasses should only be dispensed under the supervision of a Registered Optician.
- You are not purchasing glasses on behalf of anyone under the age of 16.
- You are not registered blind or partially sighted.
- You possess a valid written prescription from a qualified optician, which was issued within the last 24 months (or 12 months if you are aged 70 or over). If your prescription is outdated, please get a new sight test.
- You will provide accurate details of your prescription, including any written comments, when requested by email, phone, or fax.
- You are unaware of any reason why the glasses or lenses may be unsuitable for you.
If you are unable to provide your Pupillary Distance (PD), we may use a default measurement based on the frame size. However, we recommend obtaining an accurate PD measurement from your optician for optimal fit.
If your prescription includes a Back Vertex Distance (BVD), please ensure your optician verifies this measurement for accuracy before placing an order.
2. Making a Purchase and Ordering Goods
Making a purchase is simple. Browse our store, add your items to the cart, and proceed to checkout. You will need to provide your contact details to complete the order.
We accept most credit cards. If you’re using a non-sterling card, your card company will convert the transaction to your currency at their exchange rate.
You may also place an order via phone, email, or mail. By submitting an order to 2020 Glasses, you are making an offer to purchase goods, and we will confirm receipt of your offer by email.
Prescription orders are only accepted once payment is processed and your order is authorized by our glazing lab. If any factors affect your prescription, we may contact you to resolve them before processing your order.
3. Payment and Pricing
Prices stated are inclusive of any Value Added Tax (VAT) that may be required to be remitted to tax authorities by 2020 Glasses and will always be shown in pounds sterling (GBP).
We will use best endeavours to ensure the accuracy of the prices and price-related information stated on our website. However, we cannot guarantee that we will not make a mistake or misprice an item inadvertently. If this is the case, we will notify you of the error. You will then have the choice to either accept the correct price or to cancel your order.
The price you pay is a retail price as appearing in your basket. In certain territories where we sell, we are required to report part of the sale price to the relevant tax jurisdiction and pay that amount in tax. We do not adjust our prices depending on the sales tax, which varies from country to country.
You are responsible for any additional taxes, duties, or fees that may be applied by your country’s customs and tax authorities. This includes import taxes, customs duties, and handling fees. 2020 Glasses is unable to provide any refunds or compensation for these costs.

5. Shipping and Delivery
We aim to dispatch your order as quickly as possible. You will receive a confirmation email when your goods are dispatched, and we will provide tracking information.
- UK Shipping: We use Royal Mail First Class, First Class Recorded, or Special Delivery depending on your selected shipping option.
- International Shipping: We use Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed, International Signed For, and International Tracked.
Delivery Timeline: We aim to deliver most orders within 1-7 working days. Please allow up to 15 working days for customized orders, particularly varifocals or designer frames.
Please note: Special Next Day Delivery refers to faster shipping once the glasses are ready for dispatch, not to the speed of manufacturing or glazing.
6. Delivery Schedule
Here are typical processing times for different types of orders:
- Standard Frames (Single Vision): Dispatched within 1-7 working days.
- Standard Frames (Bifocal): Dispatched within 2-7 working days.
- Standard Frames (Varifocal): Dispatched within 5-10 working days.
- Designer Frames: Dispatched within 2-10 working days, with some out-of-stock models requiring longer.
- Rimless Frames: Dispatched within 2-10 working days.
- Sunglasses: Dispatched within 2-10 working days.
7. Frame Measurements
We provide accurate frame dimensions, but slight variations may occur from batch to batch. Please use the listed measurements as a guideline.
8. Warranty, Exchanges, and Returns
We want you to be satisfied with your glasses. If you’re not, you may return them within 30 days for a full refund or exchange. Returns must be in their original condition, with all accessories, cases, and packaging.
- To return glasses, please complete the returns form (available on our website) and send them back to us.
- If the return is due to an error on our part, we will refund the cost of postage. Otherwise, we do not cover return shipping unless the glasses are faulty.
